In Florence there is a large availability of accommodations (hotels, Bed and Breakfast, apartments, rooms, hostels, and so on) with wide spread of prices.
Please note that March is not high-season yet; however, it is advisable to book your hotel in advance because Florence is usually very crowded.

WEATHER IN FLORENCE

In March weather in Florence is very variable, and you should be ready to face both late winter and early spring conditions.
Don’t forget to take with you an umbrella and a light coat, but be ready to wear just a shirt and a light sweater.
Monthly average temperatures range between 5°C and 15°C (41°F and 59°F).

SHOPS OPENING HOURS

Shops in downtown are usually opened from 10:00 till 19:30. Most of them are open on Sunday too. Some smaller shops may open earlier and close during lunchtime (13:00-15:30) and Monday morning.

 

VISIT OF MAIN MUSEUMS

Most museums are closed on Monday morning and some on Sundays too. Do not forget to check opening hours. If you plan to visit Academia or Uffizi, it is advisable to book your visit in advance in order to skip very long lines.
